Workshop Inclusive Play SBB Gagelbos – Utrecht

SBB, is the Dutch State Forest Conservation organization. SBB has 56 “Speelnatuur” areas. Gagelbos in Utrecht is one of these. Access to the Speelnatuur is free. But access isn’t easy or even possible for everyone.

SBB wants to make the Speelnatuur more accessible and playable for visitors with disabilities.  SBB wrote its own guide to accessible play nature.

Focus of the workshop:
– drawing attention to the guide and other tools such as the SamenSpeelCheck,
– to give foresters the opportunity to experience for themselves what it is like to play from a wheelchair or with a visual or other disability,

– facilitate the discussion and practical knowledge exchange about inclusive play.

Participants: foresters from various areas in the Netherlands

Location: Speelnatuur Gagelbos -Utrecht

Guest: Vincent Hendriks, Hendrikscare; demonstration and use hippocampe wheelchair.
